You can get in touch via the contact form. We aim to respond within 1 to 2 business days. Once we have connected we will find a time that works for you and get everything set up ahead of your first session.
-
Before your first appointment you will receive a confirmation email with everything you need to know, including your consent forms to complete ahead of time. Please read these carefully and don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions. If you are attending via telehealth, you will also receive a link for your video session.

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. It is longer than a standard session to allow time to talk about what has brought you to therapy, your background, and what you are hoping to get out of our work together. There is no pressure to share more than you are comfortable with — we go at your pace. By the end of the session we will have a clearer sense of how we might work together and what that could look like going forward.

Working relationally means that the relationship between you and your psychologist is not just a backdrop to therapy; it is part of the work itself. Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of outcomes in therapy. In practice, this means sessions feel more like a genuine conversation than a structured exercise. You are seen as a whole person, not a set of symptoms, and the way we relate to each other in the room can offer real insight into patterns that show up in your life more broadly.
-
This varies from person to person and depends on what you are working through. Some people find that a focused short-term approach of 6 to 10 sessions is enough to make meaningful progress. Others prefer longer-term support as they work through more complex issues. We will regularly check in about how things are going and adjust the plan as needed. There is no fixed number and no pressure to continue beyond what feels right for you.
-
Most people start with weekly sessions, which helps build momentum and consistency early on. As things progress, sessions can be spaced out to fortnightly or monthly depending on your needs and goals. We will work this out together based on what suits you best.
-
Life happens and we understand that plans sometimes need to change. We ask that you give at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee. Please get in touch as soon as possible if something comes up.
